What's A Doula?

A doula is a person who provides emotional and physical support to you during your pregnancy and childbirth. Doulas are not medical professionals. They don't deliver babies or provide medical care. A certified doula has taken a training program and passed an exam in how to help pregnant women and their families during this exciting but challenging experience. People ask me the question when I tell want I do for a living. I give the short version I don’t delivery the baby, I just support the mothers and the partner of the birth. Oh you are a Midwife….. I would like to give them this article to educated the on doulas. Like did you know about the difference of all the doulas, Birth doula, Antepartum doulas, and Postpartum doula. They all have different ways to support the mother to be. Read this article and give you ideas of doulas.
